UK's Conservatives will get elected by the 15 sailors in Iran

... the more this whole boat crisis drags on, the worse it will be for UK's Labour Party. I see this as the same scenario as Carter. The UK press very rarely picks of matters of national security. But a division could occur and the Conservatives could break ranks ... Yup I can see the US really having a great time cutting down Labour, and then a brand new bunch of young Conservatives might take charge.

Capture Kharg Island and then negotiate with Iran's Seyyeds

In November 1979, when our embassy was sacked and our diplomats were taken hostage, I recommended to the then-acting chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Adm. Tom Hayward, that our only good option really was to capture Kharg Island, Iran's principal oil export depot. If we did this, we could negotiate from a position of strength for the immediate return of our embassy and our diplomats.

Force the Seyyeds in Iran to release the 15 UK sailors

Will the British and the US take any action for this provocation? If the Iranians do not immediately release the sailors, the US should start taking similar action against Iranian ships entering Iraqi waters, and perhaps event start positoning for a blockade. Given the stressed nature of the Iranian economy, that will certainly get Iran's attention, as well as the notice of its citizens.

Withdraw Iran's Seyyeds' poodle's visa

It would be an extraordinary act for the US to withdraw a visa to a head of state of a UN member. This has never been done before. However, Admadinerjad is an extraordinary man, quite unlike other heads of state. In addition to his radical student days (assuming the allegations by US personnel are accurate), when he challenged the most basic norm of international relations by forcibly occupying the US embassy and taking US personnel hostage, he has committed many other questionable deeds.

Seyyeds in Iran finally admit that they have lost Russia - great news for the New Year fellow Iranians and Iran lovers - Happy Nowrooz Everyone!!

Double standard stances by Russian officials regarding Iran's nuclear issue shows that Russians are not a reliable partner in the field of nuclear cooperation," the commentary said.

Forgot Nowrooz (Iran's New Year Day)

You seem to be totally oblivious of the Iranian Spirit that has motivated, a peaceful union amongst the Iranian people, and the various ethnic groups for thousand years. It was the very essence of the Iranian Spirit as enshrined in our Holy Book The Zend Avesta, that has keep Iran for so long. Iranian Peace was Cosmological. We were the first to unite the world along Cosmological Principles, and our Empires are a testimony to that. Pax Iranica was based on Nowrooz, but you forgot Nowrooz, and that is why folks like you need to be updated.

Private sector reactions will defeat the Seyyeds in Iran

But even more powerful is the private sector's reaction to the financial sanctions against Iran and its response to a global ban on giving Iran grants, loans or any financial assistance other than humanitarian aid. Already, some financial institutions are demurring about doing business with Iran, worrying about "reputational risk" and the need for greater "due diligence" before entering into any ventures. Some have declined to issue new letters of credit to Iranian companies. Capital flight from Iran to offshore Persian Gulf banks is reportedly underway.

It went on to explain that much of America's debt is owned by banks in countries on the opposite side of the Iran debate, in the main, China. ... And why does war with Iran and an increased risk to America's future hegemony seem so likely?

Christian-Jewish paranoia over Iran's Seyyeds

"Now is the time to stop them, not only because they are developing nuclear bombs, but because Iran has become the base for all Islamic terrorism. They supply money, men, and weapons to Islamic terrorists around the world, quite often through their diplomatic mail... They believe, and perhaps rightly so, that the West will do nothing to stop them in achieving their goals. Is history repeating itself?

Seyyed businesses in Iran

And ayatollahs. Take the "Shah of Pistachios", Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, Iran's once and perhaps future president and widely regarded by grumpy Iranians as their richest man. If you're looking for Corporate Iran, Hashemi's household is not a bad place to begin. The family's writ runs to airlines, caviar, oil, mining, automobiles, property and agriculture, which pretty much covers the entire economy. There's supposedly billions stashed in Swiss, Singaporean and Luxembourgeois banks, property in France, Canada and booming Dubai and beach resorts in India and Thailand.

Less provocative US-Israeli military exercises for the sake of Iran's Seyyeds

They said the exercise, dubbed Juniper Cobra, this year involves fewer troops and advanced computer simulations -- rather than live-fire drills -- of anti-missile systems such as Israel's Arrow-II and the American-made Patriot PAC-3. ... For Zoroastrians Iran is what Jerusalem is to the Jews

For devout Zoroastrians all over the world, Iran is what Jerusalem is to the Jews or Mecca to the Muslims. It is a land which cradled the world's first revealed religion, reared benevolent kings who upheld and championed human rights even before the term was coined and which threw up men of learning who were to influence the thought-process of thinking men all over the then known world. ... Like every devout Muslim who cherishes a desire to make a pilgrimage to Mecca, at least once in a lifetime, every Zoroastrian should bear the same sentiments about Iran. There is something magical about the whole country — the majestic mountains, the serene and mystical deserts, the sparkling clear rivers, not to speak of the enchanting Caspian Sea — all reach out to you in a warm embrace and as if on a magic carpet take you on a spectacular discovery of your roots. For the spiritually sensitive, it is, indeed, a feast for the soul. There is a world of difference between what one reads in standard textbooks and what one experiences for oneself.

Iran's Seyyeds digging in near Israel

Who will blink first, the Saudis or Iran's Seyyeds?

But a clearer example of the Saudi-Iranian clash of giants is nowhere more visible than in Lebanon, where the struggle is clearly one between Iran (and its Syrian ally) on one side, and Saudi Arabia (supported by the West and the so-called moderate Arabs) on the other. ... If you are somewhat confused by Middle Eastern politics, allow me to confuse you some more. ... Saudi Arabia has been playing a smart game so far. In Iraq, members of the Saudi royal family are said to have been supporting the Sunni insurgency, providing them with financial support, fighters and ammunition. These insurgents have then used those guns and munitions to fight the Shiites, and yes, U.S. troops. ... Yet Saudi Arabia remains largely dependent on the U.S. military to bail it out if it were ever to come under serious attack. ... What will be worth watching out for at the Saudi summit will not be whatever diplo-speak is regurgitated in the final communiqué. Rather, it will be interesting to see what actions -- if any -- are adopted by King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, King Abdullah of Jordan and President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt to get Iran to blink first.

Did Saudi Arabia force Iran's Seyyeds' poodle to recognise Israel?

If it was true, it then was the flashiest news of the summit. Ahmedinejad, who was talking about erasing Israel from the map, was saying “yes” to a plan envisaging the recognition of Israel. The source of the news was in a sense the Saudi state because the source that made the details of the event a news report was the official Saudi news agency SPA, which bluntly wrote that Ahmedinejad was supporting the plan.

US and British sources told The Herald yesterday that evidence had been gathered linking the wreckage of the two helicopters to hits by SA-14 "Gremlin" or SA-16 "Gimlet" missiles designed to home in on engine heat. ... The Russian weapons, in service with neighbouring Iran's regular forces and its Pasdaran Revolutionary Guard, are fitted with features allowing them to bypass decoy flares and some types of electronic jamming to home in on their targets.
